About
My Story
Dr. Brittany Heyano is a California native who obtained her Bachelors degree in Chemistry at CSU Fresno where she graduated with honors and ran track as a NCAA Division I athlete before achieving her Doctor of Optometry from University of California Berkeley. She received extensive training on the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, dry eye, and specialty contact lens fittings across all age groups through her clinical rotations at VA Monterey, Meredith Morgan Eye Center, Crow Indian Health Services Hospital, Eastmont Community health center, and the student health center at UC Santa Cruz.
Dr. Heyano looks forward to providing full scope optometric services to her community and enriching the quality of life of her patients. She is able to perform exams in Spanish as well. Dr. Heyano enjoys volunteering for underprivileged communities both locally and abroad, providing school vision screenings for children in local schools and humanitarian eye care in Nicaragua.
Outside of the office Dr. Heyano enjoys sketching, painting, cooking, but most of all exploring with her energetic Labrador retriever – Brody.
